Cat Palmer, Photography God

This piece is amazingly awesome for a few reasons.
First off, Cat Palmer is an unbelievable photographer.
You should really check out her website:
www.catpalmer.com
I've seen her photos/art in many places around town.
She is just perfection when it comes to capturing emotion & life in photographs.
Secondly, I am in this photo along with many of my close friends.
It was such a fun photo-shoot.
Cat is so up-beat about everything she does, there is no negativity anywhere in that girl.
I hope you especially enjoy this piece - for some reason, I absolutely adore it.
The colors, the umbrellas, the diversity in clothing. Really just everything.

Thank you for sharing your talent with the world, Cat.
I know many people who appreciate it greatly, including myself.

Jakey's Pa

Whoops. No post yesterday.
I've been lazy. No. Make that super busy.
It's so good though.
I've been doing fun things & necessary things - all good.
This next piece is by my boy's father.
He is a fabulous artist!
I honestly couldn't tell you how long he's been painting, or much about his skill.
I do know he loves painting European scenes.
Once when I was at their house, I happened to compliment one of his pieces.
He was super honored, and offered me any piece of my choice.
Since the original of this beauty was hanging framed in their living room (I believe.)
I decided to take a smaller copy of it. I fell in love with this one.
Thanks Peter!!
If you know me at all - you know I have an obsession with all that is Europe.
Well, kinda. Really, I just like Europe. How can you not?
Enough blabber.
Hope you enjoy Peter's piece:

oooh ooooh ooooh!

Ah! I love this one!
My friend Erin gave me this one.
You know why?
No reason at all.
Because Erin is one of the best people you'll ever meet.
That's probably why.

I'm am a very lucky soul to have met Erin, actually.
She is the wife of my boyfriend's best friend's brother!
Holy shit.
See? How lucky am I?
Not to mention all those other people, ^ up there, that I mentioned.
I love them all.
I'm a lucky duck.
Love you, missy-lou Erin.

Love Day

Since today is the good ole' famous Valentine's Day,
today's piece is about love.
Once again, this is a simple sketch of myself and my Jacob.

We've been together for about two years now,
and we're looking forward to many more.
I love you Jakey.

sister's banksy

This is a painting done on canvas by my little (kick-ass artist) sister.
She's following the ever-so-noble ways of her older sister, and quickly passing her up in talent.
(if you ask me)
I'm looking forward to showing off much more of her work,
this is just the tip of the iceberg.

This one is dear to me because, well:
 It's from my sister, duh.
Buuuut, its also her interpretation of one of my favorite banksy pieces.
I, at one time in my life, was pondering getting
a tattoo of one of Banksy's pieces that resembles this.

Well, I hope you appreciate today's piece.
I certainly do.

most recent doodle

I suppose since this is my blog, the first piece i'll show you is my most recent doodle. This is drawn in pen, and it's not really finished yet ["art is never finished, only abandoned" - Da Vinci] , but i definitely like where its going. No plans on abandoning it yet. I hope it pleases your eyes, here goes:

who doesn't love art?

Hello friends.
Welcome to my art blog.

Its gonna be awesome, so get excited.
I'm going to be sharing art with you that i've made.
But, more importantly, art that gives me no choice but to share.
I've always loved to draw and paint.
Photography has become a fun, new hobby.
And, you know, art makes me happy.
Simply happy.

I love getting art for gifts & vis versa.
Now I'm blabbing.

Alright kids, I'll give it to you straight:

This blog is gonna be the most kick-ass art blog you've seen.
You know why? You're art just might appear on it. You think not.
But, I'm very sneaky and sly. (you'll always get credit - obviously.)

If you don't "make" art, then I hope you can at least
enjoy the art I've chosen to share.

I'll try to share an art piece per day, but I'm not making any promises.
Just enjoy it - i know i will!

(...now the hard part, picking my first "share" piece. so many good ones.)
